Astranis builds advanced satellites for high orbits, providing dedicated secure networks to enterprises, governments, and the US military. Five satellites are on orbit with many more launching soon, servicing over $1 billion in commercial contracts.

The Role

You will work with the engineering team to design, write and test software across three domains: satellite software, ground control systems, and testing software. You will develop software to manage satellite performance from ground stations.

What You Bring

  • Currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace, or equivalent technical degree
  • Experience with C++, Python, and scripting languages
  • Demonstrated ability to personally design, write, and test software from scratch

Nice to Have

  • RF and signal processing experience
  • Real-time operating systems experience

Details

  • Internship length: 12 weeks, hourly role for current university students
  • Base pay: $29.00 per hour
  • Location: San Francisco, California
  • U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required to comply with U.S. space technology export regulations
