About the role
The Exploration Company is developing Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle designed for cargo delivery and potential human spaceflight. You will support development of simulation models that predict the behavior of the pressurization and feed system of the propulsion system. These models are critical for understanding test bench behavior and flight vehicle performance. You will be embedded in the simulation team, which also supports testing and data analysis.
What you will do
- Anchor development models of the Nyx Earth propulsion system
- Implement automated post-processing scripts for simulation results
- Develop automated optimization algorithms for rapid regression of simulation results against experimental test data
- Support post-processing strategy for experimental results to validate simulation models
- Provide auxiliary support to test campaigns as needed
What you need
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and development of fluid flow systems
- Understanding of general model anchoring
- Understanding of optimization strategies for model anchoring
- Competency with data management in Python using NumPy and Pandas
Desirable experience
- Experience developing models in Ecosim
- Hands-on experience developing fluidic test benches
